All about luxury tiger and leopard adventure

An ideal 12-day Luxury Tiger and Leopard Safari, which takes you two of India's finest National Parks, Ranthambore and Jawai, as well as includes India's famous Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and the Lake city of Udaipur. The luxury safaris begin in Delhi, India's lively capital followed by a visit to the city of love, Agra. You then have four days in Ranthambore, one of India's best known National Parks and Tiger Reserves. Five Jeep Safaris are included in Ranthambore, giving you an excellent opportunity to sight the Royal Bengal Tigers as well as enjoy the other Flora and Fauna of the National Park. Continue to the Pink city of Jaipur, famous for its Forts and Palaces. The Luxury Safari then takes you through the heart land of Rajasthan, to the Jawai Leopard Camp, a luxury camp, set in an area of rugged wilderness in the heart of the desert. Jawai is an area famous for it's Leopard sightings. After three days at the luxurious Jawai Leopard Camp, continue to Rajasthan's famous city of Lakes, Udaipur, where the shimmering waters of the Lake Pichola are a sight to behold.

  1. Day 1 Arrive Delhi

    Your Luxury Tiger and Leopard Adventure tour begin with your arrival at Delhi International Airport. The bustling metropolis of Delhi is the lively capital of India, home to almost 17 million inhabitants, ancient monuments, modern developments, etc. Consisting of two parts Old & New, Delhi has something for everyone. From Forts and monuments that are almost 500 years old, to modern shopping malls, nightclubs and golf courses, Delhi truly is India's crown jewel. Upon clearing Customs and Immigration, you are met by our representative who will present you with a welcome pack including all necessary documentation and arrange your transfer to The Imperial Hotel for check-in. The Imperial Hotel, one of Delhi's best-known luxury hotels is also one of the oldest hotels in Delhi. Built in 1933, it has a somewhat unconventional style & design; a mixture of Victorian and old colonial with a playful dosage of art deco. The hotel, which is centrally located on Janpath, is set in beautiful gardens and its facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a shopping arcade, permanent in-house art galleries and a variety of restaurants.   2. Day 2 Delhi - Agra (220 kms/ 04 hrs)

    This morning you drive to Agra (220 kms/ 04 hrs). "The Land of Taj" was once the capital of the Mughal Empire and even today it seems to linger in the past. Not surprising, for the Mughal emperors with their passion for building, endowed the city with some of the finest structures in the world. Agra is an old city and it is said that its name was derived from Agrabana, a forest that finds mention in the epic Mahabharata. Later it became the centre of governance for the Mughals. It was during the time of the third emperor "Akbar" that Agra came into its own and later on his grandson "Shah Jehan" ornamented the city with that masterpiece of Mughal architecture - The Taj Mahal. Upon arrival check in at The Oberoi Amarvilas. Only 600 meters from the Taj Mahal stands the Oberoi Group's luxury resort, Amarvilas. The classical architecture of the hotel is complemented by the elaborate gardens, terraced lawns, fountains, reflection pools, and pavilions. The hotel has been designed to give guests uninterrupted views of the Taj Mahal from all rooms and suites. One of the wonders of the world, the mausoleum has been described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love. Time spent at the Taj Mahal, will always remain in your memory, as one of the high points of your Luxury Tiger and Leopard Adventure tour. Your tour also includes a visit to the red-sandstone Agra Fort, the erstwhile seat of the Mughal dynasty in the 16th century, settled on the bend of the River Yamuna, almost in the heart of town. Akbar built it as his citadel over the years of 1565-1573 and now is inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight in Agra.

  3. Day 3 Agra - Ranthambore (280 kms/ 06 hrs)

    This morning drive to Ranthambore (280 kms/ 06 hrs), en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is often called the ghost city, built by Akbar-the Great in the 16th century to serve as the capital of his vast empire. Later, Fatehpur Sikri was mysteriously abandoned 13 years later. Later, continue your drive to Ranthambore. The most conveniently located National Park in the North Indian state of Rajasthan, Ranthamore is considered by many to be one of India's most beautiful national parks. The Ranthambore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger's conservation efforts in Rajasthan. It covers an area of 400 sq km with many steep crags embracing a network of lakes and rivers. Atop one of these hills, the 10th century Ranthambore Fort stands like a silent sentinel. The terrain is a blend of impregnable forests and open bush land. The forest is the typically dry deciduous type with dhok being the most prominent tree. Ranthambore is best known for its tiger population, and tiger sightings are common here. Apart from tigers, the park has its share of panthers, too. Kachida Valley is believed to be the place to sight these rather elusive cats. One can also find marsh crocodiles, hyenas, jungle cats, and sloth bears apart from Chital, Nilgai, and Chinkara. The avian population comprises of black storks, quails, Bonelli's eagles, spur fowls, crested serpent eagles, and painted storks. During the winter months, the park attracts a lot of migratory birds, including a variety of ducks. It is the ideal park for wildlife photography. Upon arrival check-in at Sher Bagh. Sher Bagh is an innovative, luxury tented camp adjacent to the Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve. The lodge has 12 hand-stitched canvas tents that reflect the style of the 1920s. The luxury tents are furnished with Edwardian style furniture, which famously decked the future King Edward VIIIth's celebrated tours of India's wild heartlands in 1921. The upper storey of the main building is a retreat and a perfect spot to unwind in between game drives or at the end of the safari. Other than the very luxurious tents, with their attached private facilities, Sherbagh is known for its excellent service, and guests who have been there, rave about every aspect of its services, including the welcome with hot towels and a glass of sparkling wine, the nightly barbeques and bonfires, and the excellent cuisines.   6. Day 6 Ranthambore – Jaipur (195 kms/ 03 ½ hrs)

    Early morning game safari at Ranthambore National Park. Later drive to the Pink city of Rajasthan – Jaipur (195 kms/ 03 ½ hrs). Jaipur is an exuberance of color, dance, and song with the traditional arts and crafts. It's one of India's most well-planned cities, with wide, straight avenues, roads, streets and lanes in a grid system. It is also one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India. The great warrior/astronomer Maharaja Jai Singh II carefully planned Jaipur's foundation. Laid out in the 18th century, its design followed specifications from an epochal Hindu treatise on architecture. This "Pink City," so-called because its buildings are painted in the tones of an autumnal sunset, intersperses the play of red and pink with white borders and motifs. The palaces and forts of yesteryear, once witness to royal processions, now shine amid the splendor of modern monuments, juxtaposition accepted quite naturally into the lifestyles of an amazing people. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at The Rambagh Palace. Once the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur, this magnificent palace is spread over 47-acres of land and is now a luxury hotel managed by the Taj Group. The hotel offers spacious rooms tastefully decorated in traditional Rajasthani style and excellent leisure facilities like an indoor swimming pool, health club, and live entertainment every evening.   7. Day 7 In Jaipur

    This morning you are collected from your hotel for an excursion to Amber Fort, situated on the outskirts of the city. The fortress finds mention among Hill Forts of Rajasthan listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Here, you are transported back in time today, riding like royalty atop elegantly draped and painted elephants into the high mountain fortress. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State until 1728 and inside the fort, you visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of victory glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and the Temple of Kali. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur city visit Hawa Mahal- "Palace of Winds," one of the major landmarks of Jaipur, although it is actually little more than a façade. The five-story building was originally built to enable the ladies of the royal household to watch the everyday life and processions of the city. The City Palace, located in the heart of the old city, is a large complex of courtyards, buildings, and gardens, and also houses an interesting museum. Adjacent to the City Palace is Jantar Mantar, the ancient astronomical observatory built by Raja Jai Singh, whose passion for astronomy was even more notable than his prowess as a warrior.   8. Day 8 Jaipur – Jawai (380 kms / 07 hrs)

    This morning you drive to Jawai (380 kms / 07 hrs). Upon arrival check-in at the Jawai Leopard Camp. The Jawai Leopard Camp is one of the newest safari camps in India, and perhaps amongst the most luxurious too. Located in the heart of the Aravalli Hills, by Jawai Bandh (Dam) in Western Rajasthan. The Jawai Leopard Camp is also owned and managed by the Sherbagh team, famed for its luxury accommodations and impeccable services. Set in an area known for its rugged landscape and it's leopard sightings, Jawai is truly in the heart of the wilderness, though it's a unique location in Rajasthan makes it's an easy fit into any touring itinerary. It is almost equidistant from Jodhpur and Udaipur, about 150 kms from each, and hence is easily accessible. The lodge has 10 luxurious tents with lots of space and privacy. The tents are furnished with stainless steel and leather furnishings and private verandahs with the dramatic view of the wilderness around. Overnight in Jawai.

  11. Day 11 Jawai – Udaipur

    This morning you drive to Udaipur (140 kms / 03 hrs). Udaipur, the moony lake city with its marble whims, attractive hibiscus-covered gardens, and sophisticated fountain entrances, symbolize the glory of the Rajput era. Like many other cities in Rajasthan, Udaipur is the heirloom of an honor-bound race that loved the good things in life and often gave up their lives protecting them. Upon arrival check-in at The Oberoi Udaivilas. The Oberoi Udaivilas stands on the banks of Lake Pichola, with views across the water to the 17th Century palaces of Jagmandir. And in terms of comfort and services, The Oberoi Udaivilas is in a class of its own. The rooms and suites are superbly designed and are complemented by extensive swimming pool and a beautiful spa. Later, in the afternoon proceed with a sightseeing tour of Udaipur visiting the beautiful palace complex in Rajasthan towering above the lake, the City Place followed by a visit to the Jagdish Temple. Jagdish Temple: The fine Indo Aryan temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singh in the year 1651. This temple houses a black stone image of Lord Vishnu as Jagannath, Lord of the Universe. The Saheliyon ki Bari or the gardens of the Maids of Honor is located beautifully in the north of the city. This is an alluring garden with fountains, stone elephant and lotus pond. And finally an evening boat cruise on the beautiful Lake Pichola. Overnight in Udaipur.

  12. Day 12 Udaipur – Delhi & Depart

    This morning you will be met by our representative and will be escorted from your hotel to the Udaipur airport to board your flight for Delhi. Arrive Delhi and connect your further flight home.
